Our understanding of truth is ever evolving as we, as a church, increase in the knowledge of His unchanging, authoritative, and life changing Word.

The church is the main focus in the entire New Testament. As we read through each New Testament book, we discover many interesting Scriptural facts that should cause the true believer to develop a passion for the local church. Here are a few:

1. It is the place Christ is building one life at a time (Matthew 16:18)

2. It is the place Christ died for (Ephesians 5:25)

3. It is the pillar and ground of Truth (I Timothy 3:14)

4. It is in the process of preparation for presentation to the Father (Ephesians 5:25-32)

In every epistle of the New Testament there is clear instruction to the church doctrinally, morally, positionally, practically and operationally. We, as the church, must always seek to “know how to behave ourselves” property within the confines of the local church.

If this is His church, then it stands to reason that it must function in accordance with the blueprint that he laid out scripturally. We should never allow the secular world around us to influence us in the Biblical purposes for the church. Thus, we welcome you to join us at GBC and see for yourself the impact that sound doctrine makes on the lives of anyone who allows it to touch their heart.
